In the same year he is the Italian delegate for Groupe Mobile Spéciale (today GSM), defining the pan-European mobile radio system. He’s been member of ETSI (European Telecommunication Standard Institute) for the definition of the GSM, DECT and UMTS and ITU (International Telecommunication Union) standards.

In 1990 he managed the mobile products development and He handled the second generation E-TACS Italian mobile telephony service launch.
